Terms of Use

Draft. These terms describe how Tovoria works today and will be reviewed before Tovoria's public release.

These terms are an agreement between you and EMPOC, LLC ("we", "us") about using Tovoria and its online features. By sharing content or using the online features, you agree to them. If you're under the age of adulthood where you live, a parent or guardian must agree for you.

1. Your account

You can browse and play without signing in. You can sign in with Apple, Microsoft or email to keep one account across your devices. Keep your sign-in secure; you're responsible for what's done with your account. You can delete your account at any time in the game.

2. What you make

You own what you create. When you share a level, art pack or world, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, copy, display and distribute it in Tovoria and to promote Tovoria (for example, featuring a level), and you let other players play it and, where Tovoria allows, use, remix or copy it into their own creations within Tovoria with credit to you. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies other players already made within Tovoria and anything we must keep by law.

3. Rules for sharing

Only share things you made or have the right to share. Don't share:

• characters, logos, art, music or other material that belongs to someone else (including characters from other games), unless you have permission;
• anything hateful, harassing, sexual, violent in a graphic way, or that targets real people;
• personal information about anyone, including yourself;
• spam, scams, or levels designed to cheat, exploit bugs or harm the service.

Treat other players with respect. You can report content and block players in the game.

4. Moderation

We may review, hide or remove shared content, and suspend or close accounts, that break these terms or the law. When we hide or remove your content, we tell you why in the game. Content with three open reports is hidden until we review it.

5. Copyright complaints

If you believe something shared in Tovoria infringes your copyright, email [email protected] with: your name and contact details; the work you believe is infringed; the content's Tovoria code(s); a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorised; a statement that your notice is accurate and that you're the rights holder or authorised to act for them; and your signature (typing your full name is fine). We hide the content while we review it and tell its author. Authors can reply if they believe the complaint is mistaken.

6. Orins and purchases

Tovoria may offer Orins, an in-game currency bought through the platform you play on, and items sold for Orins or for a creator's own tokens. Orins and tokens are a licence to use in Tovoria, not money or property; they have no cash value and can't be transferred outside Tovoria, except where we later offer creators a way to cash out Orins they earned, under separate terms. Purchases are handled by your platform and follow its refund rules; if a purchase is refunded, we may remove the Orins or items it paid for. Creators who sell items receive 85% of the Orins paid; Tovoria keeps 15%.

7. The service

We work hard to keep Tovoria running, but online features may change, be interrupted or end. We may update the game and these terms; if we make important changes we'll tell you in the game, and continuing to use the online features means you accept them.

8. Disclaimers and limits

Tovoria is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for content made by other players. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be limited.
